]]>Early in her artistic journey, Kozlowska created paintings, graphics, and sculptures in a more conventional way. At the same time, she enjoyed working with textile and fabrics through sewing and embroidery.
After encountering various examples of embroidery art, Kozlowska started sewing paintings before testing the waters with felted sculptures. She found success with these works and got the idea to combine the practice with her love for pop art.
Kozlowska is inspired by consumerism, mass culture, and daily life. In making her sculptures, she mostly uses felt and fabric but also combines materials from newspapers, labels, and foils in order to get her message through and recreate the item to the slightest details.
“Every work requires commitment and patience from me, it is unique, created spontaneously without a specific pattern and in a fit of inspiration,” Kozlowska explains on her website. “Working with the material is my passion. I try to make each of my works unique and stimulate the viewer’s imagination.”
Kozlowska’s sculptures have been published in several publications and books while also being part of solo and collective exhibitions all over the world. Check out more of them below.

]]>The team behind this achievement had to build a fiber-optic cable that used four wires instead of the usual single-wire cable. The speed achieved is impressive, but what does it mean to an ordinary person?
While this new discovery will not directly affect our lives, at least not in the near future, it’s important for further development. It will, however, help improve infrastructure and allow us to eventually move to 6G internet, which will eventually increase internet speeds for the average customer.
You can read more details in the press release issued by NICT. The press release states, “NICT will continue to develop wide-band, long-distance transmission systems and explore how to further increase transmission capacity of low- core- count multi-core fibers and other novel SDM fibers.”

A video from Sergius TV, which has recently become viral on Reddit, shows the unnamed jeweler in action. Their process of turning shattered glass into gemstones starts with breaking a colorful glass bottle.
They then take a piece of glass and reshape it using a grinder. After the desired shape is achieved, the glass is polished to get that shiny gemstone look. These glass-turned-gemstones are then placed into a necklace or a ring.
The impressive results have already wowed the internet users, who immediately started advocating for these types of gemstones to become the new norm. And most of you will probably follow after you check out this mesmerizing video below.

]]>For this project, Van Herpen teamed up with the nonprofit environmental organization Parley for the Oceans and used their Parlay Ocean Plastic fabric. The material comes from the plastic waste the organization collects from the world’s oceans and shores through their Parley Global Cleanup Network.
This isn’t the first time Van Herpen uses Parlay Ocean Plastic fabric in her works, having previously used the material for parts of her collection Roots of Rebirth.
“Parley for the Oceans has great expertise in recycling plastic from the ocean and transforming it beautifully into soft upcycled fabrics. The quality of their fabrics is really refined, and therefore perfectly suitable for haute couture also,” said Van Herpen.
Van Herpen had help from other artists on this project. This included French-British paper artist Rogan Brown, who contributed with his expertise in lace-like artworks and proficiency in coral reef-inspired designs. Visual artist James Merry, on the other hand, was responsible for the jewelry that was part of the collection.

]]>In the last five years, Sodergren dedicated most of her creative energy to turning eggs into pieces of art. In order to do so, she employs intricate designs that are inspired by nature, mystical creatures, and geometric patterns.
All of Sodergren’s works are done using a traditional Pysanky technique, which is commonly used for decorating eggs in Ukraine and Poland. The technique involves drawing patterns on chicken, goose, turkey, or ostrich eggs with beeswax and then painting the egg with different layers of color.
Using the technique is extremely demanding, as the artist needs to plan all the steps in advance. Also, beeswax is unforgiving, as only one small mistake or wrong line can ruin the whole design.
Still, the mistakes are a rare occurrence for Sodergren, considering that she is used to working with delicate materials. This talented artist has experience working with glass and was part of one Stockholm glass art studio for many years.
Let’s check out more examples of her egg art below.

]]>It doesn’t take long for the viewer to see what makes Meulen’s artwork special. He attacks the idea of the human condition in a poignant and profound way, visualizing the pain that many people feel on a daily basis.
Van Der Meulen’s works are usually in a state of disarray, being incomplete, missing limbs or parts of the torso, melting, or being torn by some mystical force. According to the artist, this should represent the “decay of human life but also the erosion of our surroundings.” He adds that visible vulnerability of one’s body isn’t just a representation of the physical but the mental as well.
“People habitually live with a misled sense of security, the illusion that our environment or civilization is dependable and static,” says Van Der Meulen. “Often times the dangers and violence of the current world we live in interrupts and the illusion of safety is exposed.”

]]>Andreeva creates beautiful embroidery art inspired by gardens, flowers, and nature. Thanks to the fine stitching and the addition of other materials, her pieces offer vivid and detailed scenes that give away something new each time you look at them.
According to Andreeva, each of her garden pieces starts with a rough sketch on the fabric. However, the final work almost always differs from the original idea as she always looks to add something new during the threading process.
When it comes to artists, it’s quite common for them to embrace the idea of improvisation. Andreeva clearly embraces the beauty of going with the flow, and it shows in her work. Her talent and skill alone are enough to truly touch one’s soul. Check out more of her works below!

]]>Goce’s artistic beginnings are tied to Barcelona’s street art and graffiti scene, which she became a part of during her studies at The Fine Art University of Barcelona. It was there that she discovered an affinity towards huge pieces and started doing murals.
It’s not hard to see how people have fallen in love with her work. The technique and skill she has is undeniable, but she has that intangible quality as well. She clearly possesses that “artist gene” that delivers messages beyond just words.
In the past several years, Goce left her stamp on architecture in the United States, Azerbaijan, and Sweden, among other countries, while also organizing exhibitions in galleries in Monterrey, Paris, and Vienna.
Goce’s works are mostly centered on children who find themselves surrounded by fantasy elements. Check out more of them below.

]]>Amador’s works are gigantic, sometimes spanning over 100,000 feet. However, they are also short-lived, which makes them even more special. As soon as the tide comes, the artwork is gone, and only a photograph of it remains as the only reminder that it existed.
Everything started when Amador was in the middle of studying crop circle reconstructions. He was explaining the process to his girlfriend during one beach walk and used a stick to draw patterns on the sand.
It was then that he realized that beach sand could be used as a perfect canvas for huge designs.
Amador made his first sand artwork in 2004 on Ocean Beach in San Francisco and created hundreds more on beaches around the world, including the United States, Mexico, and the French coast. Each piece takes up to two hours to create with a rake-like tool, with its lifespan ranging from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours.
“If I can inspire others, I hope that I can offer the message that the path is more important than the destination — that the journey should be the focus,” says Amador about his art. “When one is experiencing joy, then the world also receives that joy. And the world can always use more joy.”
