Stephanie’s Art is Beautifully Gritty

What is it about art that pulls us in? Is it the skill of the artist? The ability they exhibit to make everything perfect? Or is it something more? If you ask us, the best art is the kind that finds a way to connect to you. It’s about communication and helping people find common ground through identification and connection. Irish watercolor painter Stephanie understands this well and her paintings are perfect examples of how an artist connects with their audience.

Stephanie’s paintings are colorful, vibrant, and cartoonish. But at no point does one get the feeling like she isn’t intentional with her work. There’s obvious direction in her method, and this makes all the difference. In the painting above, of a woman walking along a pier, there’s a childlike nature to it that pulls the viewer in.

In this painting, Stephanie paints a quaint home that appears to be in a natural setting. There isn’t much else that needs to be said, and this is the beauty of it. She leaves so much to the imagination, allowing the viewer to interpret it in their own way. Feel free to check out the rest of her work!
