When people consider getting a pet, they rarely think of ducks. The main reason is that ducks are usually considered farm animals that have no business inside the house. However, a woman named Krissy Ellis is set on taking down this notion.
On her profile, The Quack House, Ellis shows the rest of the world what it’s like to have a duck as your pet. She shares videos of adventures with her favorite pet duck Munchkin, which include going to Starbucks or enjoying a walk in the park, and tips on how to care for ducks in case you decide to get one.
Krissy originally started sharing snippets of Muchkin’s everyday life on social media several years ago. The adorable duck slowly gained an admirable TikTok following, but it became an internet star after a video that showed Muchkin drinking ice water from a Dunkin’ cup.
Nowadays, Ellis has five million followers on TikTok that can’t wait for her next video. She also started featuring other ducks from her household in the videos, although Munchkin remains the favorite.
“Munchkin is a bit of a sweetheart with a little dash of diva in there,” Ellis explained in an interview with The New York Post.
