Jiyung Lee’s Minimalistic Illustrations

Some artists don’t need many details to capture the essence of what they want to show us. Korean illustrator Jiyung Lee is one of them. Her love for art started at an early age, when she would stare at the illustrations in storybooks for a long time, soaking up every single detail. Years later, she’s still obsessed with everything visual. She’s majored in painting and now studies visual communication.

Lee’s illustrations are reduced to the minimum amount of elements needed to convey the message. She explores the connection between objects and language and why certain items have certain names. We think her work is really interesting and imaginative, and you can check out more of it on her Instagram page.
