Antonio Uve’s Illustrations Radiate Positivity

Antonio Uve is a Spanish artist whose illustrations stand out from everything you’ve seen before. Thanks to his bold use of color and shapes, the art he creates radiates positivity and happiness.

Uve first started with scary themes, like skulls and phantoms, before temporarily giving up on art. “I never thought that someone could make a living from drawing, so I abandoned the idea and started working as an art director in advertising agencies in Madrid,” he tells It’s Nice That. He found himself doing illustrations most of the time and completely changed his style. “It’s funny how bad things can turn into something really positive,” he adds.

He quickly found that illustration allowed him full creative freedom. He’s now able to do commercial work along with his personal projects, and during the pandemic he brought his art to a new level. The artist started creating gifs from his illustrations and they are absolutely adorable. “The lockdown turned into something really positive viewing it now with some perspective,” the artist notes.

His plans for the future include exploring animation more and testing some new ideas. We’re very curious to see where his art is going and if you are too, follow him on Instagram!
