Ceramic artist William Kidd describes his art as out of this world pieces. He was inspired by the natural beauty of the world such as microorganisms, fungi, seeds, cacti, and sea life in creating these “organic possibilities.”

His work is produced in his studio using a potter’s wheel and different hand-building techniques. As for the process, Kidd explains, “My clay of choice is a low-fire red earthenware clay which is then finished using oxide stains, underglazes, and my signature crawl glaze to create a rich textural, colorful surface that is unique to my work.”
