“While most people are asleep, I find something very exciting about being awake. The night is quiet and still, and much like my thoughts, this inspires curious and mysterious urban stories out there,” Liang said in an interview for Paper Darts.

First, she uses kraft paper cutouts and hand-drawn illustrations from her sketchbook, which she later transfers to a digital platform such as Photoshop or After Effects. Then she creates a collage and animates it, creating beautiful moving scenes.
