Artist Makes Realistic Animals by Needle Felting

Yvonne Herbst is a former Pixar artist, now working as a full time fiber artist. Her artistic side was nourished in Waldorfschool and for 10 years, worked at Pixar Animation Studios as a painter.

After leaving her job, she started a fabric business, specializing in needle felted animal sculptures. Herbst said that she finds inspiration from everywhere, thus, “you will find all sorts of different items in my shop, namely everything that grabs my fancy at the time. Everything is one of a kind and unique.”
