For football fans, the Super Bowl is the most important event of the year, one that decides which team will take the glory after a hardworking season and go down in history as champions. But everyone else usually just tunes in for the halftime show and the commercials. And we can’t blame them.
This year’s halftime show was amazing because it was Rihanna, and everything that Rihanna does is awesome. But sitting through commercials was also a great experience.
With more than 100 million people tuning in to watch, brands and companies put a lot of effort into creating the best possible commercial to promote their business. This resulted in some fantastic commercials that were creative, funny, and inspiring.
For example, GM and Netflix created a commercial that saw comedian Will Ferrell drop into various Netflix shows to promote electric cars and cause chaos. Dunkin’, on the other hand, teamed up with Oscar-winning director and actor Ben Affleck to do a funny skit that also featured an appearance from Jennifer Lopez.
