TikToker Sophe Alice and her best friend were excited to go on a trip to Budapest, Hungary, and explore this charming Eastern European city. However, once they arrived at the airport, they realized they had made a huge mistake.
It turned out that the duo actually had plane tickets for Bucharest, Romania, and not Budapest. While also in Eastern Europe, Bucharest is some 500 miles away from their intended destination.
Alice shared a video about their mishap on social media, and it quickly became viral, gaining 5.7 million views.
Many TikTok users were curious to find out how they made such a mistake and whether the friends went through with their trip. This prompted Alice to record a follow-up video in which she more details.
“Yes, we went, of course, we went and it was great,” she began the second clip.
Alice went on to explain that it was her best friend that made the arrangements, wanting to take her “somewhere in Eastern Europe.”
Judging by other videos Alice posted on TikTok, the pair made the best out of the mistake and ended up enjoying their time in Romania. We wonder if they will end up wanting to go back to Bucharest and book a ticket to Budapest by mistake. That would be an even better story.
