Bradley Theodore Celebrates People By Painting Skeletons

Miami-based artist Bradley Theodore paints celebrities and fashion icons as abstract skeletons and we love his vibrant work. He uses lots of colors and energetic brushstrokes to represent people in his own style. The colors he uses are inspired by his Turks and Caicos Islands roots.

Although his subjects are shown as skeletons, the artist says there’s nothing morbid about them.

“A skull for me represents a symbol of a person’s spirit. It’s like I’m wrapping someone’s soul around their skeletal system,” he said in the documentary Becoming: Bradley Theodore.
