British Museum Just Made Majority of Its Collection Viewable Online

If you miss visiting museums, don’t worry. The British Museum decided to help you out by making the majority of its enormous collection viewable online.

The museum, which is currently closed due to coronavirus pandemic, recently uploaded high-resolution photos of more than 4.5 million items of historical significance. Thanks to this, you can now inspect them more thoroughly than ever before.

Accessing the collection is free of charge, and you can even download the photos and use them without any restrictions.

According to the museum, you’ll be able to find items from all over the world, some of which are 2 million years old.

Some of the most notable pieces include Rosetta Stone, Lewis Chessman, the statue of Ramesses II, and rare paintings from artists like Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
