Stay is the mastermind behind the hobby shop Keycap Quarry, and he was still a teen when he started making gemstone artisan keycaps and sharing them with the world in 2021. His brother introduced him to lapidary work and jewelry making, and he found a way to bring them into the modern world.
Stay’s keyboards bridge the gap between the world of technology and jewelry, and he crafted over a hundred of unique, one-of-a-kind keycaps in the past two years. All the stones he uses are hand-cut and polished from the rough, and we’ve seen him experiment with many different types of stones to create the most beautiful keyboards that you’ll ever see.
Stay is constantly looking for new colorful gems that he can transform into keycaps, and he’s hoping his creations will bring a lot of joy to all the fellow artisan keycap lovers out there.
“Using jewelry quality metals and beautiful stones I have been creating one-of-a-kind works of art… My handmade keycaps are designed to fit cherry-style switches and use a plastic base to ensure that they are not too heavy for your switches,” explains Stay on his official website.
