The highly anticipated sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s 2021 blockbuster Dune, Dune: Part Two, arrived in cinemas earlier this month. One moviegoer was apparently so passionate about the epic sci-fi flick that they decided to show up for a screening in a spectacular way.

In a video Josh Gammon shared on TikTok, a person in a full Fremen costume can be seen storming through the lobby of an AMC Theater in Tulsa, Oklahoma, while riding a sandworm.

The clip received 4.1 million views since being posted, with TikTok users praising the moviegoer in the comments section. It even caught the attention of the official social media team from Dolby, a company that creates audio, visual, and voice technologies for movies.

“The level of commitment we love to see,” Dolby’s social media team commented.

Villeneuve’s Dune movies are based on the series of novels of the same name written by Frank Herbert. The first Dune movie was a box office success, earning $434.8 million while also receiving positive reviews from the critics. Dune: Part Two is proving to be an even bigger hit, earning $506.5 million at the box office and earning even better reviews.

In the Dune universe, sandworms are giant creatures that live on the desert planet Arrakis. Sandworm larves produce a drug called melange, which gives users a longer life span and makes interstellar travel possible, making it the most valuable substance in the universe.

We have all been in this situation: there is an obscure movie, TV series, or cartoon that we absolutely loved as children, but we can’t remember what it’s called or major details that could help us track it down.

Some of us end up giving up in hopes that we’ll randomly remember it one day. Others, like TikTok user Grace Miller, turned to internet users to help her out. And you can bet the internet delivered.

Miller originally posted a video on her TikTok profile in which she described her struggles in searching for her favorite movie from childhood. She said that she used to rent it from a library, and “now it doesn’t exist”. Her dad remembers it as well, but they can only recount “super obscure niche details”, and they were never able to track it down.

“It was animated, maybe something about a king and an “ooey gooey river” or “sticky river” once a year we spend hours searching for it,” Miller wrote in the caption of the video.

Miller’s clip quickly went viral, being watched 8.6 million times. It also prompted other TikTokers to join the search and try to help out. As it turned out, the small amount of clues Miller provided was enough for one social media user to correctly identify the movie as King Otis and the Kingdom of Goode: Phoose’s Tale of Patience.

Miller later shared a follow-up video showing her relief that the search was finally over.

Did you ever wonder how your favorite live-action movies would look like if they were animated flicks made by Pixar? Well, there is no need to wonder anymore because Brazilian artist Alexandre Perez has you covered.

Perez, who is a graphic designer and web developer by trade, decided to start a fun project in which he reimagines posters of popular films in the style of the iconic Pixar animated studio. The result is so great that it will make you wish that Pixar ends up making reboots of these movies. And the way the movie industry has fallen in love with reboots, it actually might happen at one point.

It is important to note that Perez had help in creating these awesome posters. While he is the one providing the ideas, it is the Artificial Intelligence program Midjourney that transforms these ideas into reality. Afterward, the artist then uses Photoshop to clear up the AI’s mistakes and add finishing touches.

Perez’s series has proved to be quite popular on social media. Part of it is the nostalgia element and also the way he includes movies from all sorts of genres, allowing everyone to find something for themselves, whether they like horrors, comedies, thrillers, or romance.

Check out more of these Pixar-style posters below.

The Sopranos and Full House couldn’t be much more different TV shows. One is crime drama, while the other is your classical ‘80s upbeat sitcom. But did you think that stopped YouTuber Tardy Tortellini from combining them? Certainly not.

Tortellini shared a video on his channel in which he re-imagines The Sopranos intro in the style of Full House. The video, uploaded in 2021, was recently discovered by social media users, and they seemed to be really entertained by the results.

Tortellini’s The Sopranos intro completely changes the original gritty tone of the show. He picked out great shots and then wrapped them up in a cheerful Full House theme song. If you didn’t watch HBO’s hit series, you would think it is a heartwarming story of a family that has its ups and downs but finds a way to get the best out of every situation.

“Sorry about this,” Tortellini says in the caption of the video.

Would you watch The Sopranos sitcom? We know we would. The intro also got us wondering how Full House would look like if Danny Tanner wasn’t a television host but actually a crime boss. That would sure be an intriguing twist.

TikTok videos inspired by Wes Anderson’s movies have been all the rage in the past few weeks, and one AI artist took things one step further. Curious Refuge created an AI-generated Star Wars trailer inspired by Wes Anderson’s distinctive filmmaking style.

The fictional film is called The Galactic Menagerie and it will take you to the galaxy far, far away in a way you’ve never seen it before. The video was created by Caleb Ward aka Curious Refuge, and it made quite a splash across YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok.

“This enchanting mashup brings together iconic Star Wars characters with Anderson’s trademark symmetrical compositions, pastel color palettes, and quirky humor…Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind fan edit that celebrates the magic of storytelling and the power of imagination,” reads the official YouTube description.

The video even goes so far as to imagine some of Anderson’s frequent collaborators in the lead roles, including Timothée Chalamet as Luke, Scarlett Johansson as Princess Leia, Edward Norton as Han Solo, Bill Murray as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jeff Goldblum as the Emperor, Adrien Brody as Chewbacca, and Owen Willson as Darth Vader.

Ward was a huge Star Wars fan since his childhood, and he used AI for every segment of this video, from generating images with Midjourney, writing the script with ChatGPT, and using an AI voice-over generator before editing it all together.

Wes Anderson is one of the most celebrated directors of his generation. He is known for using limited color palette shots, flat space camera moves, symmetrical compositions, and various other stylistic choices that give his movies a unique visual style. It’s a style that TikToker Ava Williams successfully captured in a viral video that has been making round across social media in recent weeks.

Williams’ video documents an early train ride “Along the Shoreline East to Grand Central Terminal” in a way Anderson would present it in one of his movies. It features his recognizable title cards, pastel colors, still shots of the main character (Williams), and lively music.

“You better not be acting like you’re in a Wes Anderson film when I get there,” Williams wrote in the video that got more than 12 million views.

@avawillyums

With a good imagination, everything is symmetrical. Let a girl day dream! #wesanderson

♬ Obituary – Alexandre Desplat

As it turns out, Williams was watching Anderson’s The French Dispatch during a short family visit the night before. When it was time for her to go home to New York City, she decided to do something fun to make sure the visit ended on a cheerful note.

“I thought about how I could enjoy the trip if I basically romanticized the moment, made it more exciting and tried to enjoy the train ride in style,” Williams shared with Newsweek. “The video was really a way for me to document a moment I didn’t particularly want to enjoy and try and enjoy it.”

Tim Burton is one of the most respected movie directors of his time. Thanks to their unique visual style and themes, his movies have found a cult following and are bellowed by generations. And now, you can take a peek into his visionary mind thanks to an immersive experience exhibition called Tim Burton’s Labyrinth.

Tim Burton’s Labyrinth was envisioned as an actual labyrinth that allows visitors to explore the director’s work and the recurring themes he uses for inspiration in a way that is unique to them. At various points during the exhibition, the visitor will be faced with a choice in which path they want to take to progress further.

“Visitors will chart their own course through the mind of the genius to explore his favorite characters and environments from his wide and celebrated filmography,” the exhibit promises.

The whole experience lasts for an hour and includes references to Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and many other Tim Burton’s popular works.

Tim Burton’s Labyrinth was first presented in Madrid, Spain, and has recently made its way to France’s capital Paris where it will be on display between May and August. Here are some of the things you can expect if you decide to visit.

Barbie is one of the most anticipated films of the year, and the masterminds behind it added some more fuel to the fire by sharing a new trailer and character posters last week. They became an instant internet sensation and gave us a few pretty funny memes along the way.

“Barbie” Poster

The marketing team behind Barbie is truly brilliant and they introduced the Barbie Selfie Generator, allowing people to make their own versions of character posters. They quickly started trending online, with everyone making fan posters of their favorite celebrities and fictional characters.

“She’s Everything. He’s Just Ken.”

The film’s logline, “She’s everything. He’s just Ken.” also created a lot of buzz, and gave us another amazing meme. Twitter users put a twist on it by sharing photos of their favorite fictional couples that have a similar character dynamic that this tagline tries to capture.

Barbie vs. Oppenheimer

As soon as the Barbie trailer came out, another highly-anticipated film of 2023 immediately started trending – Oppenheimer. Both movies are opening on the same date (July 21), and they’re so drastically different that the “Barbie vs. Oppenheimer” meme became a viral sensation as soon as the release date was announced.

With a good imagination, everything is symmetrical. Let a girl day dream! #wesanderson
