Hats are one of those accessories that can take any outfit to a whole new level, especially if they happen to be made by Benny Andallo. The self-proclaimed “silly crown designer” is the mastermind behind some of Instagram’s quirkiest hats, and several stars gave him their seal of approval.
Andallo’s list of celebrity clients includes the likes of Miley Cyrus, Maya Jama, and FKA Twigs. He has many different hats in the store, but one model in particular established it as his signature piece, an over-the-top fuzzy dome hat that graced the heads of countless celebrities and influencers so far.
Andallo discussed his creative journey in an interview with Vogue, explaining that he started making hats for himself out of different scraps of fabrics because he wanted to “spice his head up”. His main goal is to make a hat that will have him looking and feeling fab, which he can easily wear on a night out.
Andallo’s hats are known for their wacky designs and fabrics, and his process of creating them is pretty spontaneous. Unless he’s working on custom orders, he uses random fabric that he accumulated over the years, including his signature faux furs and materials with colorful, quirky prints.
