Check Out the Best Murals From the 2022 Tbilisi Mural Fest

Tbilisi, Georgia, recently served as a meeting place for a large number of renowned local and international street artists and muralists. They gathered to take part in the Tbilisi Mural Festival, which is shaping up to be one of the most significant street festivals in this part of the world.

Started in 2019 by a group of enthusiastic street artists and art lovers, Tbilisi Mural Festival aims to transform Georgia’s capital into a huge public art space and decorate boring buildings with lively murals.

“Following years of unorganized and chaotic construction works, we aim to turn unattractive buildings into art objects,” say the organizers. “Furthermore, artists are encouraged to convey their messages and legacy through the power of art.”

The 2022 edition of Tbilisi Mural Fest hosted street artists like Fintan Magee, VESOD, Sasha Korban, David Machavariani, Luis Gomez de Teran, and Tina Chertova, among others. The group created murals in their own style on various locations in the city, turning Tbilisi into one huge open art studio across two weeks.

Thanks to the festival, there are now more than 40 murals proudly standing on Tbilisi’s buildings.
