Comic conventions are perfect for cosplayers to show their craft and skills. The 2023 ATL Comic Convention, which took place in February in Atlanta, was no exception, with the visitors having an opportunity to enjoy all sorts of impressive costumes and displays of roleplaying. Still, there was one particular cosplay that got the majority of the attention, at least on social media.
TikTok user and cosplay enthusiast Daracelll gave ATL Comic Convention a visit and later decided to share the “best cosplay” he saw there. It was someone cosplaying as Samara Morgan, the main antagonist of the horror classic The Ring.
Now, we have seen a lot of Samara cosplays over the years, but this one was really something else. Not only did the player nail Samara’s look, but they also had a TV set to recreate the iconic scene in which the character comes out of a television.
Daracell’s clip gained more than 15 million views in a matter of days, while other TikTok users definitely agreed it was the best cosplay they’ve seen in a while.
“Just give her every cosplay award that will ever be given out,” one TikToker wrote in the comments section.
“I’m not lying when I said my jaw dropped,” added another one.
