Surreal 3D cakes experienced a huge boom in recent years, and Emilie Tosello is one of the people responsible for putting them on the map. She specializes in making some of the most impressive cakes that you’ll ever come across, often inspired by celebrities and movie and TV characters.
Tosello is based in Nice, France and she has over five years of experience as a cake designer under her belt. She created her first cake design for her daughter’s birthday in 2015 and had no idea this cake will mark a beginning of a long creative journey that turned her life upside down.
Tosello’s food art flourished during the Covid-19 lockdowns when she had more time on her hands to experiment with her designs. She went on to create cake designs inspired by many beloved Netflix shows, and her impressive and extravagant creations quickly went viral.
Tosello’s Instagram page @heavencakeemilie is a huge hit with over 30,000 followers, but she’s even more popular on TikTok, where she’s followed by over a million people. We’ve seen her post many 3D cake designs inspired by our favorite animated characters over the years, and she’s also dedicated to sharing secrets of her craft through her cake-making course on Storyple.
