One proud dad recently shared a video on TikTok that shows his son gifting him a shirt he sewed himself. The heartwarming moment between a dad and his son immediately went viral, getting more than 15 million views in less than a week. Once you see it, you will realize why.
In the clip, the TikToker Aaron Gouveia is approached by his son Sam, who has a blue shirt with floral patterns in his hands. Sam explains that he made it by himself in sewing class, although he later shyly admitted that he “got some help.”
Gouveia is amazed by the gesture and tries the shirt right away. It turns out that it fits perfectly and is quite stylish.
After getting Sam’s approval to wear the shirt to dinner, Gouveia is curious why his son chose the particular pattern.
“Why I chose the pattern is, it just looks cool to me. It stands out to me,” the boy explains. “And it goes with jeans like you usually wear.”
The video made Sam a true internet star, with thousands of TikTok users praising his sewing skills and wanting to get some of his pieces. This prompted Gouveia to record a follow-up video in which Sam promised he’d do his best to create clothes for those who want them.
