History Teacher Uses Paper To Create Her Favorite Pop Cultural Icons

Kristy Edgar has many descriptions to her name: she is a full-time middle-school history teacher and paper artist who loves literature, color, creativity, and nerdy things. Better known as From Pen To Paper Studio on Instagram where she has attracted more than 11 thousand followers, the artist creates paper portraits of pop culture icons.

She combined her love for art and nerdy things and launched her own little Etsy business. She gets her inspiration from various pop culture icons of today or some of her childhood characters. Except for having too much patience, Edgar also uses craft blades and paper cutting machines to make her little paper figurines. She adds her personal touch, making her artwork both recognizable yet different than the original.

If you are curious to see more of her art, have a look at the gallery below or check out her Instagram. Did she make your favorite character or pop culture icon?
