Hop Into the Balloonish World of Cabeza Patata

Katie Menzies, a former embroider and Abel Reverter, an ex motion designer is an artistic duo, who joined their creative minds and created Cabeza Patata, a world of playful yet strong characters, full of energy and positivity. Living between Barcelona and London, the artists reveal that they care about diversity and female empowerment.

“When we are looking for references and inspiration for projects we make a point of looking outside of the character design world. Photography is always a useful reference for staging and lighting, and we always look for real human positions before exaggerating them and pushing the proportions,” they told in an interview for Ballpit and added that they are “among the first artists putting 3D character design in publications like El País and the New York Times.”

Nowadays, you can see their characters popping up everywhere, from a large mural to an embroidery workshop, from a page in a magazine to an ad on the television.
