Iceland Launches a Billboard Into Space for Space Tourists

Iceland is a place that everyone should visit at least once in their life. And if we are to believe the locals, you are better off visiting their home country than space.

Iceland’s tourism board recently launched a campaign that is aimed at promoting the country’s culture, natural beauty, and other tourist attractions. As part of the campaign, they have decided to attract space tourists by using the slogan “Better Than Space” and launching a promotional billboard into space.

According to the campaign, spending an estimated $1 million on a flight to space is just a waste of money. Instead, you can come to Iceland, which is right here on Earth, has oxygen, and will cost a lot less to visit. The official website estimates that you can book 2,000 flights to Iceland, float in a hot spring for five years, or enjoy 15,000 delicious, fresh meals for the same amount of money you would spend to go to space.

Also, you won’t need intense training, will avoid motion sickness, and won’t have to worry about rupturing your oxygen tank.

So, if you are thinking about going to space, maybe think again. Iceland claims it offers “out-of-this-world experience, right here on Earth,” so why not see if that is really the case? The space will always be there, waiting for you.
