Roberto Rizzo is a gifted Italian artist known for his brilliant work. The Naples-born, Spain-based Rizzo began his career decades ago. After receiving his degree from the European Institute of Design in Milan, he started his journey as an illustrator, working with big publishing houses.
However, it was only back in 1996 that he found his true passion. He replaced blanco canvases with rocks and started doing rock painting art. His creations are inspired by Mother Nature, whilst his animal portraits “driven by emotions and curiosity” are the ones that brought attention to his work.
To create the portraits, the artist uses acrylic paint to depict the beautiful and realistic rock paintings.
Cats, dogs, mice, snakes, lizards, chameleons, elephants, and penguins are just some of the animals you can see in Rizzo’s Instagram gallery. There he has attracted over 6,000 followers, but although his following isn’t huge, his work is definitely worth checking out.
