Kendall Ross is Knitting Quirky Sweaters With Relatable Quotes

Knitting experienced a huge boom in the past few years and many fiber artists found viral fame after deciding to give it a try. Kendall Ross is one of them and her brand I’d Knit That is best known for selling colorful, quirky sweaters that feature relatable and funny quotes.

Ross is one of many fiber artists who rose to prominence in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, after using knitting as a creative outlet in quarantine. Even though her designs started gaining traction on social media in 2020, she’s been knitting for much longer.

Ross is based in Oklahoma City and she fell in love with knitting after a local yarn store owner taught her how to do it when she was just 11 years old. She’s gotten more serious about knitting in quarantine and eventually started her own brand I’d Knit That.

Ross’ designs are instantly recognizable thanks to their colorful patterns and relatable quotes, but she believes that their eco-friendly nature is their biggest draw.

“People really don’t want fast fashion anymore. People are buying handmade, thrifting, and learning to make their own clothes. I love that. I think so much of that shift really helped my business because I sell things that I make myself. It’s not fast fashion, it’s just me,” she told Pepperdine Graphic.
