LEGO is making a triumphant return to the fantasy world of Lord of the Rings. After almost a decade without a Lord of the Rings release, the toy maker recently presented a new set that recreates the elven town of Rivendell.
The Lord of The Rings: Rivendell comes with 6,167 pieces and represents the biggest Lord of the Rings-themed set LEGO has released to date. It is also one of the company’s biggest sets overall.
The set consists of several portions, like The Council Ring, previously released as a standalone set, an Elven tower, and outdoor scenery. It also comes with 15 mini-figures, including the entire Fellowship – Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, and Aragorn – Elrond, Arwen, Gloin, Bilbo, and two unnamed elves. There are several other neat inclusions like the Ring, Sword of Gondor, and the shards of the legendary Narsil sword.
The LEGO Rivendell set offers Lord of The Rings fans a unique opportunity to recreate some of the series’ most memorable scenes. However, it also costs quite a lot. The current price displayed on the LEGO webshop is $499.99, with the release date being set for March 8, 2023. The VIP members will have a chance to get their hands on the release three days earlier.
