Lenny Kravitz‘s electrifying performance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” has left fans buzzing with speculation. The guitarist accompanying Kravitz bore a striking resemblance to radio host Howard Stern, which ignited discussions across social media, as The Mirror reported.

Lenny Kravitz’s Performance

During the live broadcast, Kravitz performed his song “Are You Gonna Go My Way”. In the opening, which starts with a guitar solo, the cameraman focused on Kravitz’s guitarist, who had dark, curly brown hair. The guitarist not only had a hairstyle and fashion style strikingly similar to Howard’s, but also shared the DJ’s exact build and wore dark sunglasses that closely resembled the ones Howard often wears on stage.

Fans quickly took to Reddit and Twitter, pointing out the uncanny resemblance to Stern, who is known for his distinctive look and presence. “Lenny Kravitz signed up Howard Stern on guitar. This Facebook post fueled further rumors, as fans eagerly discussed the possibility of Stern stepping out of his radio studio and into the spotlight as a musician.

Adding to the intrigue, Stern has a history of musical collaborations with Kravitz. In 2001, Kravitz performed his hit “Are You Gonna Go My Way” live on Stern’s show, showcasing their longstanding friendship and mutual respect. Additionally, in the late ’90s, Stern founded the band The Losers.

Fans’ Response

Fans praised the performance writing, “#RockinEve25 Lenny Kravitz still one of the s—— men alive! I could have watched him and listened to him for hours,” one shared on X. Despite the mounting speculation, neither Kravitz nor Stern have officially confirmed the guitarist’s identity. Representatives for both declined to comment on the matter, leaving fans to continue their online sleuthing.

As the debate continues, the performance remains a highlight of the New Year’s Eve celebrations, with many praising Kravitz’s dynamic stage presence and the enigmatic guitarist’s contribution to the show. Whether or not Stern was involved, the collaboration has certainly added an element of mystery and excitement to the year’s end festivities.
