Luna Prysiazhniuk Paints Breathtaking Plein Air Oil Paintings of Chicago

Luna Prysiazhniuk is an architecture student from Ukraine living and studying in Chicago, the city which is also her biggest inspiration for creating oil paintings. Her paintings show the city’s architecture from an artist’s point of view and that’s really useful to her for her school projects.

“Plein air painting” means that the artists left the studio and did his painting outdoors. That’s Prysiazhniuk’s favorite way to create art. She loves finding a peaceful spot in the city where she can just paint what she sees.

Her paintings show Chicago’s buildings, train platforms, bridges, and other famous and less famous landmarks. “The only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is an excellent work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do!” she writes on Instagram.
