Marina Pavone Will Bring You to Different Parts of the World With Her Paintings

One of the good things that have come out of a pandemic year was rediscovering the things we used to love, such as reading, playing board games, or painting. Although Marina Pavone has always been interested in art, and although she used to draw and paint—she has only just rediscovered the pleasure of holding a brush.

Pavone is an Italian architecture and interior designer whose real passion is painting whimsical, zen, and feminine landscapes and women portraits using her two favorite techniques: gouache and watercolor.

Currently living and working in Shanghai, the young artist explains how she seeks inspiration from nature’s beauty but starts her process with photographs captured during her travels.

“I love using warm hues and playing with loose organic shapes to create my own quirky interpretation of the world. Most of my inspiration comes from nature and I try to bring its essence of simplicity harmony and beauty into my paintings,” Pavone said in an interview for Ballpit.

She started sharing her beautiful images on her Instagram page where soon she has attracted over 3,000 followers. Pavone also has an Etsy store where you can purchase her prints for $19.
