New Zealand Baker Makes Amazing Pie Art During Isolation

People have been turning to various activities that help them handle the isolation caused by coronavirus pandemic, with baking being one of the more popular choices. And while it didn’t turn out great for most, some people managed to discover some hidden talents during the process.

One of those people is New Zealand baker Devoney Scarfe, who used the lockdown in the country to try and master the art of making pies. It turned out that she did not just manage to master it, but she also took it to a whole new level.

Scarfe began making astonishing pie art that was inspired by pop-culture, nature, and even music.

According to Scarfe, her pies are not just pretty. They also taste amazing, most of the time.

“I have had a few hits and misses, to be honest,” she told Vice in a recent interview. “I don’t follow a recipe for my fillings; I like making up recipes. It adds to the excitement but also means some are amazing and others are just OK. All have been edible, though.”
