Pastry Chef Creates Miniature Worlds With Food

Playing with food used to be a problem when we did it as kids, but there are people who actually turned it into a career! One of them is Matteo Stucchi, a 26-year-old pastry chef from Italy who turns regular desserts into pieces of art.

The name of his Instagram account, I Dolci di Gulliver, was inspired by the book Gulliver’s Travels, which tells the story of a man who travels to Lilliput, a place where miniature people live. This is extremely fitting seeing that Stucchi creates miniature worlds on his cake where people live all kinds of imagined lives.

“I wanted to present my desserts differently from others,” he told Italian outlet The Local. “There are lots of artists who create miniatures using food, but I focus on desserts. I try to use my imagination as much as possible in order to surprise people.”
