Pippa Haynes is Celebrating Nature With Magical 3D Embroidery

Artists who use nature as their main driving force aren’t a novelty in the embroidery world, but there’s something that sets Pippa Haynes apart. The founder of Lemon Pepper Studio is crafting 3D embroidery art, inspired by her nature-loving spirit and life in the countryside.

Haynes studied performance design at the University of Leeds and embroidery was just a hobby for her. She always thought she’ll end up working as a set designer, but life took her in a different direction when she decided to open up her own tiny studio in rural Wiltshire.

Lemon Pepper Studio was established in 2017 and Haynes says it was born out of her love of the great outdoors, allowing you to celebrate both the art of hand embroidery and the magic of nature through the medium of thread.

Haynes’ art is inspired by her love for design, gardening, and the countryside. She’s constantly amazed by flowers and plants in her garden, and she enjoys immortalizing them through her 3D art.

“I’ve always been intrigued by 3D artwork, even at school very little of my work was flat… There’s always a new angle or detail hidden from view which, in turn, makes you look closer. I also love the idea of tricking someone into thinking something is real when it isn’t,” she told Hobbies and Crafts.
