Rainbow Plant Life: Nisha Vora Left Her Job as a Lawyer to Become Vegan Food Blogger

We’ve seen many travel bloggers leave their corporate jobs behind to become social media stars, but how about food bloggers? Well, that’s exactly what happened to Nisha Vora—she left her job as a lawyer to run her vegan food blog Rainbow Plant Life and she never looked back!

Vora fell in love with cooking at a young age, after emigrating from India to California with her family in the early 1980s. Her mom was an excellent cook, but Vora was a picky child, so she started preparing her own meals around the age of 14.

Cooking was one of her biggest passions, but life took her in a different direction while she was in law school, and later started working as a corporate lawyer. She eventually left her job, backpacked around the world for six months, and started practicing nonprofit law, but this shift still left her unfulfilled.

Everything changed once she decided to go vegan and turned to food blogging after founding Rainbow Plant Life – one of the most popular plant-based blogs on YouTube and Instagram.

“After becoming vegan, I instantly felt happier, healthier, and more aligned with my values of compassion and equality. I also started my Instagram account around this time and its success… and long-standing passion for cooking, led me to eventually leave the law entirely,” explains Vora on her food blog.
