There are many ways to breathe new life into your old clothes, bedsheets, and blankets, and no one knows this better than Kelsey of Rope Drop Design. She became a true sensation after she started looking for old bedsheets at local thrift stores and transforming them into the most adorable clothes you’ll ever see.
Kelsey is a huge fan of Disney’s beloved classics, and she enjoys visiting theme parks every chance she gets. If you’ve ever been to Disneyland, you know a visit to this theme park is incomplete without an amazing outfit that fits the occasion, and Kelsey always enjoyed putting a lot of effort into hers.
She decided to make her theme park outfits unique by crafting some of her own fashion accessories, starting with cat ears. Something shifted when she created a pair out of a thrifted bedsheet, and she had so much fabric left that she decided to make a matching dress, as well.
The upcycling process gave her so much pleasure that Kelsey started hunting for Disney bedsheets at local thrift stores, hopeful she’d be able to transform them into clothes. This eventually led to the birth of her brand Rope Drop Design, and she’s now making Disney-themed bedsheet outfits for both herself and her clients from her home studio in Los Angeles.
