Rus Khasanov’s Liquid Experiments Imitate the Visual Complexity Of Human Eyes

Rus Khasanov is a talented visual artist who works in various fields, including typography, illustrations, and video-making. But his most popular works belong to the series of liquid experiments titled “Heterochromia iridum.” With his art, he’s showing us all how to see the beauty in everything, and appreciate everyone for how they’re created.

Heterochromia iridum is the phenomenon that takes place when one iris is a different color than the other. Khasanov is here to show how beautiful such a thing can be, instead of automatically being put off by it.

Through this series, Khasanov splashes liquid colors, ink, and glitter on a flat surface. By dosing it with the right amounts of liquid, he is able to achieve the look of a human eye all together with veins, irises, and pupils.

Khasanov is drawn to the visual arts as the discipline offers him an opportunity to “express strong emotions” while enabling him to improvise and experiment. According to his official website, his works focus on showing “synergy between art, science, and design.”
