Sara Schroeder is an artist who grew up sketching and drawing until her hobby turned into her life calling. “I took every art class offered by my middle school and high school – so much so that by my senior year there were no more classes left for me to take, and I registered to be a teacher’s aid in the art room, hoping I could make things while I was there,” she recalls in an interview for Voyage Mia.
After she became a mom, she suddenly just didn’t have time for art, but that changed 5 years ago when she spontaneously started a casual weekly art session with a group of people from a local shelter where she used to volunteer.
Today, her work brings her a following of more than 36k people on Instagram. She’s a strong believer in the power of practice and the only thing she has to tell the aspiring artists is to “do it, keep doing it, and do it more.”
