Squidlicks was founded by an artist named Yanna, based in Richmond, Virginia. At the very start of her artistic journey, she enjoyed working with everything she could string on thread, wire, and chain, manipulating objects into wearable accessories, before discovering the endless possibilities of resin.
“My obsession and reverence of nature lead me to crate resin pieces that showcase actual pieces of nature that can adorn the body. I put my soul as well as the essence of mother nature into every piece of jewelry,” she explains on her official website.
Yanna enjoys making all sorts of resin jewelry, ranging from rings and earrings to necklaces. She’s been selling them on Etsy ever since 2006 before her business expanded so much that she decided to start her own website.
Yanna’s main priority is to create environmentally responsible products, using eco-friendly resin. Apart from resin, she also enjoys using pressed flowers or waste products, making sure all of her products are as unique and sustainable as possible.
