Stephanie Melchione is Cooking Up a Storm With Her Food Blog The Cozy Cook

Stephanie Melchione became a true Instagram sensation thanks to her food blog The Cozy Cook, but it was a long journey to the top. She went a long way from eating pre-prepared meals at college to quitting her corporate job to run her food blog full-time.

Melchione’s relationship with food was very different during her time at the University of New Hampshire, where she studied business administration and management. She got used to having chef-prepared meals at her sorority Alpha Chi Omega, but something changed once she started dating her future husband.

Melchione started looking for online recipes and researching cooking methods online and was quickly hooked on this new hobby. Shocked by the lack of proper guidance online, she decided to start her own food blog in 2013 and quit her job to run it full-time five years later.

“I decided it was time to dive into my passion full-time and bid goodbye to the corporate world that I had known for 10 years. Did I almost pass out at the thought of leaving this sense of security that I had known for so long? –Yes. Was it the best decision I ever made? –Yes,” she explains on her food blog.

Melchione’s blog is now followed by 485,000 people on Instagram, and she even published her own cookbook The Cozy Cookbook.
