This Artist Can’t Have a Pet in His Apartment, So He Created Imaginary Ones

No-pet policies can be so annoying, right? Especially if you love animals. However, one Malaysian artist found an adorable alternative. He started creating imaginary ones. Yee Chong is the artist behind the Art of Silverfox Instagram account, where he shares adorable illustrations of foxes, cats, bunnies, and other creatures that look like they came from another planet. He puts them in real-life situations, which makes them look even more realistic.

He currently has more than 154,000 followers on his social media account. However, in a statement for Bored Panda, he explained that it all happened unexpectedly.

“Because of the no-pet policy in my apartment, I can only have an imaginary pet,” Chong said. “Also, it started as an exercise to paint realistically, but people ended up liking it.”

Due to his popularity, he started selling Silverfox merchandise which includes t-shirts, hoodies, different kinds of wall arts, stickers, magnets, mugs, and other adorable stuff.
