Deana Coveney’s love for nature knows no bounds, and she came up with the most amazing way to share it with the world. She’s the founder of Vuvu Ceramics, and nature is carefully woven into each piece of ceramic art she creates.
Coveney’s artistic journey took her on many different paths over the years, from stained glass to welding, but something finally clicked once she came across clay. She discovered the expressive and personal nature of this medium over three decades ago, and she’s been working with it ever since.
Her ceramic pieces are a true labor of love, and she wants them to bring joy and light to your home.
“Every piece is made by me from beginning to end in my studio, with no molds, no apprentices, and no mass production methods… I want each piece to feel like it is coming from my hands to yours, like a story I am telling you,” she writes on her official website.
Coveney is mostly inspired by nature, and her body of work celebrates the hidden beauty of flora and fauna. She finds artistry in every leaf and flower, often pressing them into clay to save them from oblivion, in addition to using her clay art to capture small worlds where all creatures, big and small, can roam wild and free.
