Being a flight attendant seems like a dream job because you get to explore the world free of charge, but it has its ups and downs. Yana Biryukova is one of the cabin crew ladies who found viral fame online after sharing fun stories about their life up in the air.
Since starting her TikTok page @itsyanachka, Yana Igorevna Biryukova attracted 250,000 followers, in addition to over 30,000 more on Instagram. She’s currently based in Dallas, Texas, and she traveled to over 25 countries in just two years since becoming a flight attendant.
Before deciding to become a cabin crew member, Biryukova spent a few years working as a brand representative for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. and did trade show marketing for many different brands. Her life turned upside down when she decided to travel the world, but she admits it can be strange sometimes.
“Being a flight attendant is so weird. One moment I’m eating a frozen meal in the galley at the back of the plane surrounded by ten trash cans and four toilets that smell like little rats. An hour later I get off the plane and spend five days sipping Pina Coladas in a skimpy swimsuit on the beach,” she wrote in one of her viral TikToks.
