This cake company was founded by Amy Yip in Brooklyn, New York, and it didn’t take it long to become a true Instagram sensation with over 60,000 followers. Yip says she specializes in making bespoke carved and mossy rock cakes, but what exactly does she mean by that?
Yip Studio cakes owe their nickname to their jagged shapes and they look like something you could find on the side of a hiking trail. They’re often decorated with fresh flowers, which add to their natural feel.
Yip fell in love with both art and baking at a young age, and she wanted to create something that blends her two passions together and transcends traditional decorating techniques.
