Adidas has once again turned to the iconic animated sitcom The Simpsons for inspiration in creating a new line of sneakers. This time it is Marge and Homer who are getting their own signature footwear.
The company is known for releasing several Simpsons-themed sneakers in the past, including those dedicated to Lisa and Bart, children of the family. Now, the parents are getting their turn in what looks to be an amazing release.
Marge-inspired sneakers are a variation of the Superstar model and come with a fuzzy exterior that honors Marge’s iconic blue hair. The sneaker can be purchased on Adidas’ official web store, but it appears that it is only available in sizes for infants, toddlers, and children. It is unclear whether adult-size will become available at a later date.
On the other hand, Homer-inspired sneakers are a variation of the Stan Smith model. They are inspired by the iconic “Homer in the bushes” meme that is immortalized on the back end of the shoe. The sneaker also features “Homer Simpson” in gold lettering on the side alongside an overall white and green theme. It is unclear when this sneaker will become available, although some reports indicate it should roll out in early 2023.
