Adorable Group of Owls Caught on Security Cam

When we think of owls, we usually imagine them resting on a tree branch or delivering letters to Hogwarts students. But it turns out that these intriguing creatures enjoy doing much more than that.

A woman named Lyndsay recently moved to a new house with her family and installed a video security system. On the family’s first night in, they received an alert that there was some activity happening outside. Fearing they might be facing an intruder, Lyndsay rushed to check out the cams and find out a bunch of visitors on the front porch.

It turned out that the “intruders” were an adorable group of energetic owls who came to greet their new neighbors. The owls first had a back and forth about who would get to snack on a bug they found on the floor before noticing the camera and engaging in a staring contest with it.

“Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely LOVE owls, I have owl decor all over the inside of my home,” said Lyndsay about the visit. “These owls had so much personality! They were so wide-eyed peeking at the camera! One stole a bug the other had dropped, and the third owl was a free spirit doing its own thing.”

The home security and smart home company Ring, who is in charge of Lyndsay’s security system, decided to share the amusing clip of this unexpected visit on YouTube. The video quickly went viral and racked up almost half a million views in less than two weeks. Check it out below.
