Billy Eichner Brings Back Viral Hit “Billy on the Street” to Promote His New Movie “Bros”

Billy Eichner is currently busy promoting his new movie Bros, but his rise to prominence actually started about a decade ago. The comedy game show Billy on the Street put him on the map, and he brought it back for another ride to get the word about his new movie out.

Billy on the Street was a viral sensation back in the early and mid-2010s, and it showed Eichner running around New York with guest stars, asking random people very specific questions about pop culture, and oftentimes throwing temper tantrums if they didn’t get it right.

Billy on the Street introduced us to Eichner’s very specific brand of humor, but it’s been years since his last video. In the meantime, he’s been busy voicing Timon in The Lion King and starring in such shows as Difficult People and Friends from College, before landing his first major movie role in Bros, which he also co-wrote.

After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival to positive reviews, Bros hit the theatres on September 30, and Eichner found a perfect way to promote it. He filmed new Billy on the Street videos alongside Paul Rudd, Jack Black, and fan favorite Elena, which quickly went viral and will give you a major nostalgia overload if you loved the original show.
