Brazilian Artist Makes Super Realistic Baby Dolls

Monickie Ürbanjos is a Brazilian artist best known for her reborn dolls. Her creations are so realistic that you might think they are real and not made of silicone or other artificial material. It might look odd for some to have a baby version of their grown child. However, people use them to cope with their grief over a lost child.

Ürbanjos began her career 16 years ago when she decided she would become an artist. At the same time, while working in a big company and having a pretty good salary, she was making baby dolls on the side. It all started as a hobby, but later it transformed into a full-time job. Now she schedules her work as it suits her and has plenty of time for her family.

And almost two decades later, she confessed that making reborn dolls is a business worth investing in.

“Today, with years of experience, I can say that this is one of the most promising and profitable professions in the world, which allows you to start from absolute zero and without experience because it’s not a gift that makes you a successful artist, it is the technique,” she shared in a statement on Instagram.
