What goes into making a comic book? Quite a lot, it turns out, from the artistic visuals to the story itself. Oftentimes in history there have been teams of people required to make a comic book successful, this artist does it all on their own. Not only that, but they’re doing it all on Instagram, making their account a virtual comic book experience unlike any other.
As far as the comic book itself, it’s called “Somewhere In Between”, and it’s described as “a biracial tween and his best friend doing their best to survive adolescence.” We don’t know about you, but that sounds like a concept that could be pretty relatable to young high schoolers—which probably explains why this comic artist’s Instagram account has over 13,000 followers.
Granted, we can’t see the demographics of the ones who follow this account, but we’d bet it’s comprised of a lot of young teenagers. The content itself is often very relatable as well to high schoolers, from cheerleader discussions to relationship troubles to lunchroom drama.
It’s pretty clear that “Somewhere In Between” is professionally made, and we think that this artist has a bright future ahead of them. It’s cool to see them sharing content they believe in, and we’re excited to see what they do next!
