Check Out Yurim Gough’s Ceramic Art Trimmed in Gold

Every artist has their own unique take on how they see the world, and how they wish to present themselves to the world. More often than that, they have a story to tell as well—and such is the case here.

Artist Yurim Gough explores gender fluidity, performance arts, and appearance through her art on ceramics. The pieces she makes include pencil renderings, tread, and some other materials that make them so complex and absolutely stunning.

“Yurim Gough is [a] ceramic visual artist who comes from Korea, a country with a historic tradition of ceramics, where she was a fashion designer and had been designing high heeled shoes for over ten years in Seoul then in Tokyo and London,” it reads on her website.

Gough’s art aims to celebrate the history and nature of queer culture and gender fluidity. Her gold-trimmed collection is currently on display in Philadelphia, and if you can’t see it in person, you can always check out her Instagram page where she shares her latest works.
