Cheng Peng’s Illustrations Combine Geometry and Cuteness

Chinese illustrator Cheng Peng combines various elements to achieve a unique style of art that’s very cute and minimalistic. She often uses geometric shapes but ends up creating cute characters full of life. Peng lives in Shenzhen and works for a brand design studio Heizi, which is a part of a big tech company called Tencent.

As one of her work projects, Peng made a series of posters for a cause to help autistic children feel more welcome in society. They showcase the artist’s style in the best possible way through abstract geometry and bright colors.

“Because I’m very interested in shapes and colors,” she tells Creative Boom, “I’m always exploring the possibilities of combining the two in my works.”

She previously worked at another tech company called Momo, where she created cute gift boxes with a pig theme and everyone loved them. The company gave them out as a New Year gift for the employees with a traditional red envelope and calendar inside, the artist recalled happily.
