The press surrounding Don’t Worry Darling leading up to its world premiere was an absolute mess, with rumors about the behind-the-scenes drama flying around left and right. Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller finally premiered in Venice this week, and the most talked-about moment came from an unexpected place—Chris Pine becoming a viral meme.

All eyes were on Wilde and the cast of her new movie, including Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, when Don’t Worry Darling arrived at the Venice Film Festival. Pine wasn’t involved in any rumors about its filming, but that didn’t stop him from stealing the show at its press conference.

“Star Trek” actor was caught on camera seemingly dissociating while his co-star Styles was talking to the reporters. His photos from the press conference quickly went viral, as people on Twitter turned them into memes, using them as reaction images and discussing possible reasons behind his unenthusiastic response.

To make the whole thing even better, this isn’t the only viral moment that Pine gave us in Venice. A video of Styles seemingly spitting on the Wonder Woman star created such a commotion online that the actor’s rep had to deny it ever happen. On a brighter note, Pine had a time of his life hanging out with his co-star Gemma Chan and taking photos of Florence Pugh with a disposal camera, so we’d like to believe he had a good time in Venice.
