Discover the Quirky World of Nosey Mungo’s Curious Ceramic Creatures

Quirky, weird, and peculiar usually aren’t the first words that come to mind when someone mentions ceramics art, but that’s the perfect way to describe Helen Burgess’s creations. The mastermind behind ceramic brand Nosey Mungo specializes in crafting peculiar versions of her favorite animals.

Burgess studied geography and biology at university, before getting her Master’s degree in biodiversity surveying. She discovered her passion for ceramics art while attending several pottery classes, and this quickly became her favorite hobby.

After making ceramic animals for her own pleasure, she gave them away to her family and friends. Since she didn’t know what to do with the extras, she started selling them in 2015—and that’s when her project Nosey Mungo grew into a huge hit online, with 120,000 Instagram followers and counting.

Burgess works at a local wildlife conservation, and pottery is just a hobby that she does in her free time. That’s the reason why she produces ceramics in small batches, and you have to act quickly if you want to get your hands on one of her creations. These products are available on her official website and Etsy store.
